Before Darius Fleming took the field in place of injured New England Patriots Jerod Mayo and Jamie Collins, the reserve linebacker reportedly saved a woman from a burning vehicle and received 22 stitches in the process, per the Boston Globe.

Fleming reportedly saw a three-car accident, when smoke started billowing out of one of the vehicles he jumped to action, breaking a window to rescue a woman in need.
"She was attempting to kick the window out, but she was a small lady," said Fleming, who estimated that the woman was in her late 20s. "I didn't panic, but I was just like, 'I got to get her out.'
"I tried to break [the window] with my elbow, but that didn't work, so I just started kicking the window. Eventually it broke, pulled her out, made sure she was OK, and I looked at my leg and I noticed it was bleeding pretty bad."
Fleming reportedly was patched up by team trainers before going to the hospital for stitches.
TMZ released a report later, noting the Foxborough Police was looking into the crash, as no one reportedly heard about it.
