Patriots owner Robert Kraft was profiled by HBO's Real Sports, and he told the story of one of his first meetings with Brady.
"I always remember him coming down the stairs at the old stadium," Kraft said via CBS Sports. "He said to me, 'Hi, I'm Tom Brady.' And he looked me in the eye and he said, 'And I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.'"
Kraft's son, Jonathan, who is the team's president, had this exchange with his father after meeting Brady.
"I said, 'God, really?' I'm like, 'Was he cocky?' And my father said to me, 'I'm telling you. There's something about the way he said it that I believe him.'"
Brady's statement to Kraft turned out to be true. He has led the Patriots to five Super Bowl victories since the 2001 season.
