Paxton Lynch already had some questions to answer at the NFL Scouting Combine and it seems he had to answer a couple more that he wasn't expecting to this week. Most teams were concerned with Lynch's polish and mechanics, but now he's answering questions about his medical exam that revealed he has some bones floating around near his shoulder.
His media session was delayed because of his longer-than-expected medical exam and he opened up about it so there was no confusion as to his medical status. This via NJ.com:
"When I hurt my AC joint my sophomore year against Cincinnati, I didn't realize that I had a small fracture in my clavicle. So that showed up on the x-ray. But it's healed. There are pieces of bones just floating around in there. It spooked a team or two, so they requested an MRI."
Lynch says that it isn't bothering or affecting him, but now teams have more information to evaluate him and make a decision. That and how he runs a pro offense in drills and workouts will surely decide how high or low Lynch goes.
