Potential first round draft pick involved in altercation with woman

Oh no.

University of Florida defensive tackle Caleb Brantley has been expected to go in one of the early rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft. That may change, though, as Brantley was involved in an altercation at a bar in Gainesville, FL. with another woman.

"Brantley, according to police, was involved in a fight with a woman in the 1700 Block of W University Ave, outside the Copper Monkey at around 2 a.m. The altercation spilled over into the roadway, police say."

"No charges were filed, and the female victim never came forward, according to Gainesville PD. Police say the female, who has yet to be identified, struck Brantley first. He then pushed the woman away."

It is important to note that the Gainesville PD are saying that the woman struck Brantley first which resulted in him pushing the woman away.

The good news for Brantley is that charges weren't filled, but this is not the kind of situations you want to be in right before the NFL Draft.

Brantley did tweet about the report saying:

Brantley recorded 16 tackles and 2.5 sacks for the Gators in 2016.
