Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson threw a punch at Bills defender Bradley Chubb as players gathered after Buffalo's 37-34 victory at SoFi Stadium. ESPN aired the exchange during Scott Van Pelt's postgame edition of SportsCenter and shared footage on social media.
Chubb appeared to gesture toward Jackson before the Rams lineman approached and swung. The punch knocked Chubb's hat off, as Van Pelt noted during the broadcast.
Chubb later addressed the incident in an interview with the California Post, describing an emotional exchange that ended with teammates keeping him from responding.
"They always catch the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled," Chubb said.
What prompted the confrontation was not clear from the footage. It followed a game that gave both teams plenty of reasons to believe they were leaving with a victory.

The Bills and Rams combined for 35 fourth-quarter points, with Los Angeles scoring a last-second touchdown to force overtime at 34-34. The extra period brought more swings, including a James Cook fumble and a blocked Rams field goal.
Tyler Bass eventually ended it with a 45-yard field goal, lifting Buffalo to 4-1 and dropping Los Angeles to 2-3.
The finish supplied more than enough material for the postgame show. Instead, while players were exchanging greetings and jerseys, Jackson's punch became another replay for ESPN to break down.
