John Harbaugh left a deep imprint on the Baltimore Ravens, and at least one longtime player wanted to make that clear.

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey offered a brief but pointed message after the Ravens and Harbaugh announced Tuesday that they were parting ways.
"John Harbaugh. A good man," Humphrey wrote on social media.
Humphrey was drafted by Baltimore in the first round in 2017 and spent his entire career under Harbaugh, earning four Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro honors along the way. His message stood out as one of the few public responses from within the locker room following the move.
Harbaugh's exit comes after a frustrating 2025 season that ended with the Ravens missing the playoffs. Baltimore fell 26-24 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 when rookie kicker Tyler Loop missed a potential game-winning field goal as time expired.
It was another cruel finish in a stretch defined by near-misses. Last season, the Ravens came up just short against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC playoffs when a dropped two-point conversion by Mark Andrews sealed their elimination. The year before that ended with a 17-10 divisional-round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, a game remembered for a goal-line fumble by Zay Flowers and another costly Andrews turnover.
While Humphrey spoke up, franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson has yet to release a public statement. Jackson arrived in Baltimore as the final pick of the first round in 2018, and Harbaugh famously reshaped the offense around him, helping turn Jackson into an MVP.
Reports have suggested Harbaugh may have lost the locker room late in his tenure, but Humphrey's reaction points to a more nuanced reality. For many players, the respect remains.
Harbaugh coached the Ravens for 18 seasons and won a Super Bowl during the 2012 campaign. Baltimore now turns the page, searching for a new leader to guide the next chapter built around Jackson.
