The New York Jets have several decisions to make this offseason, including one that could spark a chain reaction on the offense. Garrett Wilson could request a trade based on how the team handles the quarterback position.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, if the Jets bring Aaron Rodgers back in 2025, there is a "real question" whether Wilson will be back as well. A trade request is possible considering how the two players have not been on the same page throughout the season.
"Here's why I mention it — Garrett Wilson made some news this week expressing frustration about his role in the offense," Rapoport said. "He has not clicked — despite the ton of targets — has not clicked with Aaron Rodgers.
"There was a well-publicized spat with Rodgers in training camp. There was the trade for Davante Adams — which he was for — but basically took him from a No. 1 receiver to a No. 2 receiver. There has been plenty of times he's been open wondering why Rodgers has not gotten him the ball."
According to Rapoport, multiple teams called asking about Wilson after the Jets traded for Adams. Now-fired GM Joe Douglas and the team brass had no interest in making a trade.
However, the Jets will have a new head coach and new GM running the show next season. They could see the situation differently, for both Rodgers and Wilson.
The perceived dysfunction between Wilson and Rodgers has surfaced multiple times this season, most recently after a 19-9 loss to the Rams in which Wilson caught six passes for 54 yards on seven targets.
Wilson met with media members and said "I would love to be involved, love to make an impact on the game but if people see it differently, then that's out of my control. Just try and do what I can do."
A first-round pick, Wilson has been the top receiver on the Jets since entering the league in 2022. He has posted two seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards, and he is only 13 yards away from another.
Wilson has four games with more than 100 yards; his best yardage output was against the Dolphins on Dec. 8 when he caught seven passes for 114 yards. His only multi-touchdown game was on Halloween against the Texans as he caught nine passes for 90 yards and two scores.
