Results are in on Jimmy Garoppolo's shoulder injury, and it's not good

As if things could get worse.

After shredding the Miami Dolphins for three touchdowns and over 200 yards passing, New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo got slammed into the ground directly on his shoulder.

He was immediately taken out of the game and replaced by rookie third-round pick Jacoby Brissett. After undergoing a series of tests, the news couldn't be much worse for New England, which has a short week and a matchup against the Houston Texans Thursday night:

With Tom Brady only midway through his suspension, the Patriots will need another quarterback under center for at least the next two weeks.

Brissett completed 6 of 9 passes for 92 yards. Even if New England rolls with the rookie for the next two weeks, they'll need another body in reserve just in case.
