Robert Griffin III recently told Cleveland area media that the Browns have a lot of playmakers that under the right circumstances can do great things. In a preseason matchup with Tampa Bay Friday, Griffin reminded us he's one of them.
"We have a lot of guys that can do great things,." Griffin told WKYC last week. "You just have to give them opportunities, and they'll make those plays for you. They understand that as well. There are a lot of guys. There are a lot of fish in the tank, and it's up to us to feed them the right way.We just have to make sure we click. When we're out there on the field, make sure everybody is in the right spots, running the right routes and we're getting the ball to the guys that the coverage dictates. Like I said, you can't look at it on an individual-by-individual basis. It's all about the team, and all those guys know that we're about winning and about winning Browns football."

Last night, Griffin made good on his opportunities. He played sparingly but hit embattled receiver Josh Gordon on bombs of 44 and 43 to give Browns fans a glimpse of what could be—-a deep ball aficionado throwing to another deep ball aficionado. And they both looked like they were just having a game of catch while doing it.

And the second for 44-yards:
Unfortunately for the Browns, it wasn't enough to get the job done. Cleveland lost to Tampa Bay 30-13.
