Richard Sherman can get pretty righteous in his rants to the media about whatever it might be—-deep social issues like race in America or more parallel concerns like player safety.
But when the Seattle Seahawks cornerback is on the field, all that seems to go out the window in favor of a much more menacing persona. This cheap shot on wide receiver Davante Adams during the Seahawks 38-10 loss to Green Bay Sunday is a prime example.

The ball was nowhere near Adams, and it was an act that seemed born more out of frustration than anything else.
Not to take anything way from Sherman's arguments, which are often sound and well-thought out — like his recent remarks against Thursday night football. But when you do boneheaded things like this, it doesn't lend much credence to the good stuff.
