Saints Fans Concerned For Derek Carr After Latest Injury News

Things have officially gone from bad to worse for the New Orleans Saints. After the Kansas City Chiefs handed them their third straight loss, they fell to 2-3 on the season. It is not at all what they were expecting after a 2-0 start.

Derek Carr Injury to Sideline Him For 'Multiple Games'

To add injury to insult, their starting quarterback Derek Carr suffered an oblique injury during the matchup and did not return. According to NFL insiders Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapaport, the injury will sideline the Saint quarterback for "multiple games."

"QB Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury he suffered against the Chiefs. New Orleans has two games in the next nine days, and the likelihood is Carr misses Sun vs. the Buccaneers and Thurs vs. the Broncos," Garafolo tweeted on October 8.

"Derek Carr is as competitive as they come, so he'll push to play. But the thought is the #Saints, doctors, and athletic training staff will take the decision out of his hands, as his oblique injury is significant."

Saints Fans Concerned After Star's Injury

Carr was a big reason that the Saints got off to a hot start this season. And after trailing by less than two touchdowns at halftime, you wonder what the outcome could have been had he played the entire game last night. Following the injury news Saints fans voiced their concerns for the starting quarterback on social media.

"Damn, this sucks for them. They were ballin," one user said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"The Saints having their next 2 games very close to each other makes the Derek Carr injury even worse. I doubt that their team will look that great in either game, especially since the team is dealing with a ton of injuries. This will be a rough couple of weeks for them.," another user added.

With Carr expected to miss a significant amount of time, things are looking even more grim for the franchise as their schedule will only get tougher from here on out. Their next three games are against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Charges.
