Former Giants running back Saquon Barkley has had a great season on his new team, as he has rushed for over 2,000 yards and contributed 13 touchdowns for the Philadelphia Eagles.

And this has turned out to be a nightmare for the Giants front office, as they are the ones who seemingly did not value Barkley enough to pay him this past offseason.
With this in mind, there was a clip from Hard Knocks that went viral, where Giants GM Joe Schoen and owner John Mara were discussing the potential of Barkley signing with a rival team.
Mara was heard saying, "I might have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Philadelphia..."

He’s our most popular player by far!”

And now Barkley seemingly is taking shots, as he appeared in an Unisom commercial and referenced what his former boss said.
"Rockabye baby, awake in your bed," Barkley said. "As the thought of 2,000 swirls in your head. It sure is tough to lose sleep over football. Not for me, though; goodnight to you all."

Instead of paying their proven superstar back, they decided to give struggling quarterback Daniel Jones a four-year/$150 million dollar contract. And Jones has now been cut from the team the following season, while Barkley is on pace to break the NFL single-season rushing yards record.
To note, Barkley is currently at 2,005 rush yards, which means he is on pace to pass Eric Dickerson, who put up 2,105 yards in the 1984 season.
Considering the Eagles' Week 18 matchup is vs. Giants, Barkley could make history in a revenge game, only needing 100+ yards.
Nevertheless, it has been announced the 27-year-old star will sit out with the Eagles already locking up the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
That is to say, no one is more relieved than Mara, who has evidently already had a tough time sleeping this year.
