The Miami Dolphins haven't beaten the New England Patriots twice in the same season since 2000—which was Bill Belichick's first season as head coach with the franchise.

Yet, Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry boldly predicted Miami will beat the defending Super Bowl champions in both meetings in 2017.

Shannon Sharpe, host of Fox Sports' Undisputed, called out Landry for his outlandish prediction.
"The Patriots are not your big brother. They're your father…They're the entire league's father." —@ShannonSharpe on Jarvis Landry's comments pic.twitter.com/sU2LanJ26n

Sharpe criticized Landry for making the comments, especially after the Patriots defeated the Dolphins in Week 2 of the 2016 season with Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback rather than Tom Brady.
"The Patriots are not your big brother," Sharpe said. "They're your father... They're not only your father. They're the entire league's father.
"There's a reason why they've won five championships since 2000."
Sharpe also told Landry the Dolphins better not let the Pats "hang 50 on you" when they meet next season.

Landry responded to Sharpe with a few tweets about his team next season.
@ShannonSharpe their was a time when no one believed in y'all. It was your team versus everyone else because you were a winner.

@ShannonSharpe I feel no different about it. I'm not saying what I'm saying to draw attention to myself or the team.

@ShannonSharpe it's just time to change what everybody else has been use to. Put some respek on it. #TheNewMiami

The Dolphins did make the playoffs last season, but they were still swept by the Patriots. Perhaps Landry and Co. should win a playoff game or be a consistent threat before they make claims about dethroning the Pats.
