Sunday turned into a day of firsts for Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. And none of them came easy, as written by Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Sanders stepped onto an NFL field for the first time in the third quarter of Cleveland's 23-16 loss to the Ravens, replacing Dillon Gabriel, who entered concussion evaluation and was later ruled out.
That left Sanders to run the show the rest of the way — with zero reps alongside the starting offense coming in.
Afterward, the rookie didn't sugarcoat anything.
"I don't think I played good. I don't think I played good at all," Sanders told reporters.
He pointed out that he hadn't even thrown a route to Jerry Jeudy this year until Sunday.
"Overall we just got to go next week and understand, so then we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do," he added.
Sanders finished 4-of-16 for 47 yards, looking every bit like a player thrown into the deep end without notice.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Gabriel remains the starter if he clears protocol, but that's no guarantee on a short week — which means Sanders may get his first NFL start next Sunday in Las Vegas.
If it comes to that, he'll at least get something he didn't have against Baltimore. A full week of work with the ones.
