Sporting News drops most hated NFL players of all-time, and we really don't like some of these guys

A pretty odd list with some who absolutely deserve to be here, and some who certainly don't.

Sporting News put together a fantastic list of the top 40 hated players in the NFL, while they were playing. So naturally guys like Ray Rice, Aaron Hernandez and O.J. Simpson were left off the list.

1. Michael Vick
2. Terrell Owens
3. Ndamukong Suh
4. Greg Hardy
5. Tom Brady
6. Ray Lewis
7. Bill Romanowski
8. Ben Roethlisberger
9. Adam "Pacman" Jones
10. Adrian Peterson

Was T.O. really that disliked? He was certainly a loudmouth on the field and caused some dissension in the locker room, but you could say Suh's on-field issues and guys who didn't give 100 percent effort after inking big deals (see: Haynesworth, Albert)  were worse.

There's not much we can say about Greg Hardy or Adrian Peterson, but we're still a bit surprised they're not above Michael Vick.

Cortland Finnegan is severely underrated on this last, only landing at No. 25. He was a headhunter and threw down with the best of them, namely Andre Johnson.

And how about a guy who did the least getting hated one of the most in Tom Brady. From the alleged cheating to winning Super Bowl after Super Bowl, people really love to hate on Terrific Tom.
