The Stefon Diggs era in New England is officially underway and it's already gone to the dogs.

Diggs was one of several Patriots players to participate in a "Pawtriots" pet adoption event Wednesday, part of the team's new initiative to help animals find homes. The event, which took place during the first day of training camp, included players escorting adoptable dogs onto the practice field.
That's when Diggs — less than nine months removed from a torn ACL — picked up a puppy, gently set it down, and watched it bolt.
To his credit, Diggs reacted like a seasoned veteran, quickly chasing the pup down before things got out of hand. The moment didn't just provide a laugh. It also showed that the 31-year-old receiver may indeed be ahead of schedule in his recovery. He looked smooth and nimble on the chase, at least by dog-herding standards.

It's been a lively few months for Diggs since signing a three-year deal with the Patriots. The former Maryland standout, now on his fourth NFL team, arrives in Foxborough after a brief stint with the Texans, following a high-profile run with the Bills and five solid years in Minnesota. His résumé includes a Pro Bowl streak, the NFL receptions crown in 2020, and of course, the "Minneapolis Miracle."
Now he's trying to win over a new fan base, one dog at a time.
As written by Larry Brown Sports: "Between the off-field drama that he was a part of and the hilarious puppy chasing video, Diggs has had an eventful first few months in New England."
