RELATED: Jay Cutler is awful, and this might be the most accurate picture ever taken
ESPN's resident loud mouth talking-head ripped into Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (as per his usual style) in a long-winded monologue, calling him the "worst quarterback in the NFL."
Smith's assessment of Cutler included referring to him as a "football abomination" while alluding to Cutler not caring about playing as much as he should.
To call Cutler statistically helpless is one thing, though it's hardly accurate. Over his 11-year career, he's completed 62 percent of his passes, for over 31,000 yards for 205 touchdowns and 143 interceptions.
Cutler's detractors usually point to his 67-69 record as a starter, or his nonchalant attitude toward not winning.
Cutler and the Bears dropped to 0-2 against the Eagles on Monday Night Football after a 29-14 showing. He completed 12-of-17 passes for 157 yards and two turnovers.
For what it's worth, Bears coach John Fox says Cutler played injured during the loss.
