However, as expected, the excitement quickly turned into recklessness with fans acting out of control.

Just about everything you could think of was on display in Philadelphia: fireworks, tearing down traffic lights, climbing greased poles, flipping over cars, breaking windows, and setting small fires all around the city.

Certainly, Philly fans are passionate when it comes to sports, and after defeating 3x Super Bowl winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the celebrations were taken to a level never seen before.

Unfortunately, this resulted in insanity, as for whatever reason fans thought it was a good idea to set fires all across the city of Philadelphia.

That is, Philadelphia police officers, seen sporting riot gear, were geared up trying to control the madness.

Multiple fans were being detained and arrested as the riots ensued.

Amid the apocalyptic scene, there were even folks seen riding horses in the downtown areas.

Notably, this is the second Super Bowl Philadelphia has celebrated in franchise history, as they also won in 2018, when the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
