The NFL's annual championship game always has expensive tickets; last season's matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans started at $3,000. The most expensive tickets, per CBS News, ranged between $12,000 and $22,000.

This season's matchup will cost much more. The cheapest option on Ticketmaster as of Jan. 26 is $6,895. The most expensive seat not located in a VIP section is just over $32,000. However, the costs rise to over $36,000 per seat in the VIP section.

Of course, Ticketmaster is not the only marketplace for tickets to Super Bowl 60, a rematch of Super Bowl 49. According to other screenshots circulating on social media, some seats will cost over $50,000 to fill.

While many football fans wondered how they could afford tickets to see their favorite team play at Levi's Stadium, others urged patience. They noted that tickets are the most expensive immediately after the NFC and AFC championship games and that prices drop dramatically as the Big Game approaches.

According to the Ticketmaster FAQs section, prices for the Super Bowl are expensive. The ticket seller just lists significantly lower numbers in its description.

"The price of Super Bowl tickets on resale often fluctuates drastically based on the game's location, the matchup, seat location, and date of purchase," Ticketmaster's site says. "Generally, the historical cost of the average Super Bowl resale ticket has ranged between $4,000 and $6,000."

Not that expensive tickets should be a surprise. The NFL's season-ending game is a mandatory event for big-name celebrities. They show up en masse and take in the experience.

Super Bowl 59, in particular had numerous celebrities in attendance. This included Kevin Costner, Pete Davidson, Jay-Z, Miles Teller, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Jill Biden, President Donald Trump, Zac Efron, Adam Sandler, Lionel Messi, Flavor Flav, Samuel L. Jackson, and Master P among several others.

Of course, the seats are not the only high-priced items at Super Bowl 60. Some football fans showed the cost of parking in lots surrounding the San Francisco 49ers' home stadium. Parking in one of the red lots is available for $6,199. Parking in one of the blue lots is $6,557.
