The Super Bowl is the ultimate sports dream; a true embodiment of the American spirit. Teams that lift the Lombardi Trophy have gone through some real battles. From Lombardi's Packers way back in 1967 to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes in 2023, these teams have proven that the Super Bowl isn't just a game—it's THE game.
Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs nabbed their third Lombardi Trophy, their second with Reid and Mahomes. They managed to fend off the Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts, for a 38-35 nail-biter.
But perhaps the wildest Super Bowl in the history of the NFL happened in 2016. Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots took on the Atlanta Falcons. The Patriots were down by 25 points in the third quarter—and then something remarkable happened. Brady led the Pats to score 31 straight points, and they won 34-28 in overtime. The game cemented Brady as arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.
In total, Brady has six Super Bowl rings, more than any other quarterback. And after cutting ties with the Patriots, he immediately turned around and led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a championship win, silencing anyone who said he couldn't do it without Belichick.
