The New York Giants preparing for life without Eli Manning, and Giants' head coach Ben McAdoo hasn't been shy about discussing the Giants QB situation going forward.

While attending the NFL owners meetings, McAdoo talked about the quarterback situation in New York, and he certainly appears to be very high on the Giants' new backup quarterback Geno Smith.
Here's what McAdoo told ESPN about Smith possibly replacing Manning down the road:
"I can't see why not," McAdoo said when asked about Smith being the Giants' long-term replacement for Manning, before conceding they're a long way from that happening."
McAdoo's comments are interesting, but he quickly notes that he still has confidence in Manning being the guy for the foreseeable future, but that he is also OK with Smith as the guy if it came to that.
Still, with Manning's play in 2016-17, it's clear the Giants are more serious than they've ever been about finding Manning's long-term replacement.
