According to ESPN, if Adrian Peterson isn't brought back to Minnesota, he would consider joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants or Houston Texans. And according to the report, the Cowboys "could be in play" as well.
Peterson was played through an injury-plagued season in which he tore his meniscus and never looked quite right.
He would be owed over $11 million in salary, plus a $6 million roster bonus. Minnesota could restructure his deal and keep him, and that might be best for the NFL as a whole.
Adding Peterson and his 6'2", 217-pound frame as another weapon out of Dallas' backfield seems like a cheatcode against the rest of the NFL. A change-of-pace back that's a former NFL MVP? Yeah, that's just not fair.
