Sean McVay Gets Honest on Injury-Rocked 49ers
The 49ers were expected to be a serious contender coming off their Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last season. But to this point, they have, for the most part, been surface-level contenders. One could point the the alarming number of injuries that San Francisco has had to deal with as one of the reasons for their dysfunction this season.
However, the Niners have started to show signs of life after a 38-10 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 14. With a pivotal matchup of Thursday Night Football which could have major implications on who wins the race in the NFC West, Rams head coach Sean McVay knows better than to take his eye off the ball.
"Well, I saw they certainly had a very dominant performance yesterday. If there's anything that you do know, it's a week-to-week league," McVay said of the injury-depleted 49ers.
"Humility is only a week away. They have excellent coaches, excellent personnel, and really good schemes. No matter what's really happened in terms of the trajectory of the injuries, they're going to be ready to go and we're going to do our best to get our guys ready to roll and it's going to be a great challenge and opportunity.
