It's been a long time since the Cleveland Browns won a game.
So long, in fact, Johnny Manziel was the quarterback that last put the Browns in the "W" column. And he had a pretty decent outing, throwing for 270 yards and one touchdown in a 24-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
We all know how far the other way the team's fortunes have gone since Dec. 13, 2015, though. They've lost all 20 of the games they've played—-16 regular season and four preseason——and could become the first team since the Detroit Lions in 2008 to finish an NFL season 0-16.
But, back to happier times. In that last win, the Browns had everything clicking, amassing 500 total yards with 230 and two touchdowns coming on the ground. And at one point in the fourth quarter, they led 24-3 before a late Blaine Gabbert touchdown made the score a little more respectable.

Not only was it the last time Cleveland ended up on the right side of the ledger, however, it was the last time they resembled a respectable NFL franchise. It would also end up being the last time then-head coach Mike Pettine, or any Browns head coach for that matter, would have anything good to say about the team after a game.
"Offensively and defensively as complete a game as we've played," he said. "It was great to see us run the football as well as we did...I thought that Johnny did some good things. I thought that was a solid effort by him and a credit to his preparation."
Surely, Pettine couldn't have imagined how far south things would go in a year's time.
