The Cowboys are reportedly done with Greg Hardy after one season

The Cowboys signed a one-year deal with the defensive end last March.

Despite a season of the Dallas Cowboys seemingly finding ways to back defensive end Greg Hardy, it appears things have changed with how the organization sees Hardy in its future. Multiple reports have emerged suggesting that the Cowboys are 'done' with Hardy, who the Cowboys signed into a one-year, $8.8 million deal last March. Dallas 105.3 "The Fan" reported the news on Monday.

"Hardy's behavior - and even his attendance- was a bit too erratic for his Valley Ranch bosses, who feel like they offered him new life after his domestic-violence case forced him away from Carolina." 105.3's report stated.

Mike Fisher of Scout.com has reported the same story as well. This news appeared to be coming — last month one of Hardy's teammates said they wouldn't endorse playing with Hardy on a team, and Dallas' Executive Vice President Stephen Jones suggested that the organization was souring on Hardy thanks to his production of just six sacks in 12 games last season.

The Cowboys were one of the only teams in the league willing to give Hardy a fresh start after his alleged domestic violence issues with an ex-girlfriend. Following his There was also his "guns blazing" comments along with ones he made about Tom Brady's wife following his suspension that already make him a tough sell for another team. Given the current climate of domestic violence in the NFL — now starting all the way with the NFL Scouting Combine, which for the first time ever is prohibiting players who have been convicted of domestic abuse from participating — it'll be interesting to see which organization, if any is willing to pick up the controversy-prone Hardy.
