The early results are in, and guess who's not worth $72 million?

We hope the Texans kept their receipt.

Sure it's one preseason game. Hell, it's the first preseason game. But when you're a $72 million quarterback, you had better produce something in your debut. Brock Osweiler can't even produce a legitimate excuse for his underwhelming performance against the 49ers.

Osweiler finished 4-of-7 for just 27 yards over the course of three drives, failing to produce points and looking much like the guy that couldn't beat out a gimpy Peyton Manning.

At least he seems to have an idea of what he needs to improve on—-like everything.

Most of Osweiler's throws were both of the short-route variety and came up short. Not being able to get the ball in the hands of Pro Bowl wideout DeAndre Hopkins or the electric Braxton Miller will make for a very long season for Houston.

It's a good thing they have these preseason games, so the mistakes made in August don't transfer into November.
