In the middle of the New York Jets win over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday, quarterback Geno Smith injured his knee and had to exit the game.

Former Jet Joe Namath didn't love the quarterback standing on the sideline after the injury:
If you've got a right knee injury keeping you out of the game why are you standing on the sideline the entire 2nd half? How bad can it be?

Well, apparently it can be pretty bad, Broadway Joe:
Sources: Based on initial MRI, belief is that #Jets QB Geno Smith tore his ACL. Incredible. Players in the locker room are learning about it

It's a devastating injury to Smith, who had earned his first start of the year after getting knocked out of the starting spot (literally) last season.
Smith took the call out in stride before he heard the news on Monday:
Somebody tell Joe that the doctors have the final say on whether you can or cannot get back into the game...... and also that I love him!

But once the news broke, fans were quick to jab back at Namath:
@RealJoeNamath I await your apology to Geno ...

Well, Joe Namath looks like a right jackass for what he said now. Bet no apology will be forthcoming https://t.co/UmlibjJnDW
