Rams governor Stan Kroenke already owns one of Los Angeles' NFL teams. Now he's adding one of Southern California's MLB franchises to the collection.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment announced Monday that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling interest in the Los Angeles Angels from the Moreno family.
The deal still requires approval from Major League Baseball and is expected to close during the first quarter of 2027.
"The Angels are a storied franchise anchored in a great market," Kroenke said in a statement. "We look forward to an exciting future with the Angels organization."
Kroenke, of course, is no stranger to owning professional sports teams. Not even close.
His massive portfolio already includes the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Mammoth and Premier League powerhouse Arsenal.
Kroenke-affiliated entities also developed SoFi Stadium and the surrounding Hollywood Park district in Inglewood.
Now baseball is joining the empire.
The Moreno family has owned the Angels for 23 years, with Arte Moreno purchasing the franchise from The Walt Disney Company in 2003.
"The Moreno Family has been honored to steward the Angels for 23 years and we believe with KSE's experience and success they are the best next owner for the franchise," Moreno said.
The Angels have been around since 1961 and won their only World Series championship in 2002.
For Kroenke, meanwhile, this isn't merely another investment.
It's another major professional sports franchise in Los Angeles.
Apparently owning the Rams, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids, Mammoth and Arsenal wasn't quite enough.
