The scoreboard may have said the opposite, but Eagles defensive lineman Fletcher Cox says Philly was the better side Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

This in spite of the 29-23 final score, and the fact that the Eagles surrendered a 10-point fourth quarter lead.
"We were the best team on the field today," Cox said. "I will make that statement. We were a better team today, but obviously we didn't finish. They made more plays than we did today, and that's that."

The box score tells it differently, though. The Cowboys were actually better on both sides of the ball, outgaining Philadelphia in total yardage 460 to 291, and keeping the Eagles out of the end zone in the final 30 minutes of the game. But considering the loss was in overtime to a division rival, it has to sting. So from that standpoint, Cox's sore loser bit does make sense.
"It hurts a lot," Cox said. "Any loss hurts, no matter what form or shape it is, but I think the most important thing for us moving forward."
The two sides will get to run it back January 1, the last game of their respective seasons. But the way Dallas is playing, it's looking like Sunday night may have already decided the NFC East.
