This former NFL Pro Bowler was charged with one of the most disturbing crimes you can ever imagine

Oh my goodness, this is awful.

Former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year Dana Stubblefield was charged Monday with rape of a disabled woman that allegedly occurred back in April of 2015, per Mercury News.

After Stubblefield reportedly contacted the 31-year-old woman who was interested in a nanny job, he set up an interview that lasted about 20 minutes before the woman left. Here's what police said happened next, per the report:

"Minutes later, she received a text message from Stubblefield saying he wanted to pay her for her time that day, the report said. She went back to the house where Stubblefield picked her up, carried her to a room, raped her and forced her to "orally copulate him," the report said.

DNA evidence matched that of Stubblefield, the report said. He is charged with rape, rape of a victim incapable of giving consent, oral copulation, oral copulation with a victim incapable of giving consent and false imprisonment, according to the criminal complaint.

Bail was set at $250,000. Stubblefield, a former defensive lineman, played in the NFL for 11 seasons with three separate teams. His lawyer said his client is innocent.
