After 29 seasons as an NFL analyst alongside Chris Berman, former Denver Bronco Tom Jackson is officially retiring, according to ESPN.
Jackson, a former three-time Pro Bowler, will work his final assignment for ESPN at the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement this weekend.
"I have been blessed in my adult life to work for two companies, the Denver Broncos and ESPN, to do two things that I love - play football and talk about football," said Jackson. "Having joined in the early stages of ESPN and remained with the same company for 29 years is especially gratifying. This move just comes at a time when the priority of my life is spending time with my family."
Jackson played all 14 years of his NFL career as a linebacker with the Denver Broncos.
He'll be a missed voice among the changing landscape at ESPN, where the network added former pro football players Randy Moss, Matt Hasselbeck and Charles Woodson to its current NFL coverage staff, in addition to re-signing Trent Dilfer. Gone are Keyshawn Johnson, Cris Carter, Mike Ditka and now, Jackson.
