Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith are free agents, so the Jets don't have much experience right now at QB. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the franchise could look to bring in Jay Cutler for next season.

Cutler was recently released by the Chicago Bears, and he only started five games for the team last season.
The Jets are also looking to bring in an experienced quarterback, and other options include Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III, according to Pro Football Talk.
Griffin, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 Draft, joined the Browns last season and he appeared to making early strides to regaining his old form after a myriad of injuries derailed his career with the Redskins. However, injuries cropped up again, as Griffin injured his shoulder in Week 1 of the season. Griffin returned later in the season, starting Cleveland's final four games in rather unspectacular fasion.
From a purely on-the-field perspective, Kaepernick is a fascinating free agent as a former Super Bowl quarterback who looked on the cusp of becoming one of the top young players in the NFL.
He became a vegan, injured his shoulder, lost a ton of weight and made plenty of political statements by kneeling during the national anthem.
After a frustrating 2015 campaign where the 49ers only won two games and Kaepernick regressed, throwing for just 1,600 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions, the quarterback bounced back in 2016 despite his team actually getting worse.
Kaepernick threw for 2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions last season.
