Titans Quarterback Will Levis Suffers Potentially Severe Leg Injury

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis suffered what looked to be a potentially serious injury in the latter stages of overtime Sunday afternoon against the AFC South rival Houston Texans.

With 1:50 remaining in the extra frame, Levis had his leg rolled underneath him and he immediately went down to the ground writhing in pain.

Fortunately for Levis and the Titans, he was able to gingerly walk off the field and into the blue medical tent on the sideline.

Earlier in the game against the Texans, Levis rushed for a touchdown while completing 17-of-26 passes for 199 yards with one interception, in an effort to post a second consecutive upset victory for the Titans.

Levis' injury comes six days after the finest performance of his rookie campaign, passing for 327 yards with one touchdown, one interception, and rushing for 15 more yards, leading an upset victory over the Dolphins in Miami.

Since being chosen in the second-round of April's NFL Draft, out of Kentucky, Levis has completed 58.3 percent of his passes for 1,593 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 32 more yards. The Titans made the move from veteran Ryan Tannehill to Levis as the full-time starter back in Week 7.

On the ensuing possession after Levis' injury, the Texans marched down the field to kick a game-winning field goal that dropped the Titans to 5-9 on the season.

Time will tell the severity of Levis' injury or if he will be forced to miss meaningful time with three games remaining for the Titans. Next up for Tennessee is a Christmas Eve clash against the Seattle Seahawks, whether Levis is healthy enough to be behind center remains to be seen.
