Tom Brady On Comeback At Age 46: 'I'm Not Opposed To It'

Just when we think we've seen the last of Tom Brady in an NFL uniform ... well, he draws us back in.

More specifically, Brady left the door open when asked on the "DeepCut with VicBlends" podcast if he'd suit up again, should an interested team call.

"I'm not opposed to it," Brady said, certainly well aware that his comments would raise some eyebrows and set social media ablaze.

And honestly, who wouldn't want to see Brady give it another go at the age of 46? He did great at 43, winning a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and pretty good at 44, leading a depleted Bucs team back to the playoffs.

But 46? After a year off? Hey, this is Tom Brady we're talking about.

Of course, he already has deals lined up to become a highly-paid analyst with FOX Sports and the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. But, yeah. Whatever.

"I don't know if they're gonna let me," Brady said, "if I become an owner of an NFL team ... I'm always gonna be in good shape, (I'll) always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. [Michael Jordan] coming back? I don't know if they'd let me, but I wouldn't be opposed to it."

Oh boy.

Brady jokingly — at least, we think he was joking — listed the New England Patriots and Raiders as teams that would draw his interest. And just imagine the Patriots winning a Super Bowl with Brady, and not coach Bill Belichick. Without a doubt, Brady would love that one.

Or how about trying to do what Jordan did with the Washington Wizards? Jordan left his ownership box to play for the franchise and try to build their brand. It didn't work, of course, but you can't fault the man for trying.

Brady has always been good for the NFL, a winner. So if it sounds crazy for him to play again ... well, who cares? He's Tom Brady. If he wants to play until he's 98, let's go ahead and let him.
