Tom Brady got "cut," missed Thursday's game and this strange preseason continues

Brady may be able to handle a football, but a pair of scissors got away from him.

Tom Brady missed a preseason game for a weird injury as Comcast Sports Net New England reported the veteran quarterback tried to get something off the bottom of his cleats with scissors and sliced his thumb.

Brady was expected to start against the Bears. Instead, normal backup Jimmy Garoppolo started and helped lead New England to a 23-22 win. Garoppolo threw for 181 yards and one touchdown.

The extent of Brady's cut isn't known, but it doesn't appear he'll be sidelined for long.
