Drew Bledsoe Lays Down Hammer On Bill Belichick During Tom Brady Roast

Tom Brady opened himself up to plenty of fun-loving criticism, and the man he replaced as quarterback with the New England Patriots made sure to gets in his own digs. That would be none other than Drew Bledsoe, who was a pretty good QB himself at one point.

But then Bledse was replaced by Brady, and the rest is NFL history.

Anyway, Bledsoe made sure to take advantage of his pulpit during the Brady roast on Netflix — though not necessarily at Brady. Instead, Bledsoe took aim at Bill Belichick, the then-Patriots coach who made the smart decision to stick with Brady. And, of course, keep Bledsoe on the bench.

"At least when I got fired somebody else wanted me," Bledsoe said to Belichick, per Mark Daniels on X.

Obviously, that's in reference to the Patriots parting ways with Belichick after this past season. Belichick, while linked to several teams, failed to land another job.

Meanwhile, Bledsoe was quickly acquired by the Buffalo Bills for a second chance after being benched with the Patriots.

Overall, the event drew rave reviews, with Brady even taking a shot at troubled (and now deceased) former tight end Aaron Hernandez. Belichick even got in some digs.

Per Bleacher Report:

"Seemingly nothing was off limits during The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which aired live on Netflix on Sunday. Whether it was the legendary quarterback's former teammates in Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe and Rob Gronkowski, his former coach in Bill Belichick, or a long list of comedians, the jokes were flying.

"Kevin Hart hosted, but it was Belichick who helped kick off the show by telling Bledsoe that it was once again Brady's time to shine."
