After 12 seasons and two Super Bowl titles in New York, the Giants fired oft-criticized head coach Tom Coughlin ahead of the offseason.

In his exit presser, Coughlin gave the cold shoulder to Giants owner John Mara and nearly caused Eli Manning to cry.

But his path of destruction when it came to the Giants wasn't nearly over, according to Gary Myers of the New York Daily News.

"On Michael Kay's ESPN radio show this week, Coughlin said, "Don't think that there aren't some hard feelings there. There certainly are. That's just natural. But I try to control them when the moment is right."

NFL sources say his hard feelings for the Giants came through loud and clear in the interview with the Eagles brain trust, which included owner Jeffrey Lurie, and he was obsessed with how he felt wronged by the Giants. He was not forthcoming about his plans for his staff. He came off more concerned with making the Giants look bad than being consumed with coaching the Eagles."

Not a good look for Coughlin. He's clearly hurting from this rough divorce, and it's a real question if he'll ever get a head coaching gig again.
