Earlier this week Antonio Pierce, head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders appeared to like a post on Instagram that hinted that their star wide receiver, Davante Adams, would be traded. That fire was stoked even further when Adams revealed that he had not been in communication with anyone on the team during their bye week. Meaning the last time he's spoken to anyone in the organization was when they lost to the 0-2 Carolina Panthers on September 22.
With all signs pointing to an Adams here are the top landing spots for the star wide receiver
New York Jets
The New York Jets came into this season with Super Bowl hopes. But to this point, they have proven they aren't ready for the lights with a record of 2-2.
Aaron Rodgers and the offense have struggled. They didn't score a single touchdown in the Week 3 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Rodgers has struggled to get on the same page with the Jets young receiving core. But he has built a rapport with veteran Allen Lazard, likely because they played together in Green Bay for several years.
Adding another former Packers wide receiver in Adams who has a knack for making big plays could do wonders for their offense.
Pittsburg Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have come out and shown that they are a worthy opponent this season. They started the season 3-0 under the leadership of Justin Fields.
But after losing Diontae Johnson last season, it is apparent that the franchise needs to line up opposite George Pickens. Adams would be a hand-in-glove fit in Pittsburgh as it is an organization that has proven to value winning.
In addition, the big play ability of their quarterback Justin Fields and Dav Ante's ability to separate from defensive backs would be a nightmare for more defensive coordinators.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders have shocked everyone this season. They have a record of 3-1 and sit atop the NFC East. This is largely due in part to the play of their rookie quarterback Jayden McDaniels.
In this case, the Adams needs the Commanders more than the commanders need him. They already have wins against stacked teams like the Bengals and the Cardinals.
However, lining Adams up opposite star wide receiver Terry McClaurin could take them from being a playoff threat to a Super Bowl contender.
Dallas Cowboys
Once again the Dallas Cowboys came into this season viewed as Super Bowl contenders and underperformed.
They are barely afloat in a weak NFC East and have yet to score a win against any quality opponents. The offense has struggled mightily in Dallas. They have only scored nine touchdowns in four games. For context, the Eagles have scored ten and have been without their two top receivers A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith most of the year.
But somehow their quarterback Dak Prescott is in the top five in yards per game. In addition, several Cowboys friends are still infuriated that the team didn't pursue Derrick Henry in free agency. Adding Adams to their offense would be one hell of a consolation prize.
