After expertly dodging the rumors of a budding romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs tight end and his brother Jason, the Eagles' superstar center, finally addressed the topic on their "New Heights" podcast after Taylor attended the Chiefs game in Travis's family suite this past weekend.
The guys playfully pretended to dodge the topic with several attempts at misdirection, before then talking about the actual football aspect of the Chiefs game before getting to the Taylor aspect of it all.
Travis addressed that one big change has been paparazzi setting up shop outside his house, people with "cameras in their hands and screaming his name," not something he's quite used to. He humorously stated that he thought Taylor was "ballsy" for showing up so publicly, and stated that all the friends and family in the suite had positive things to say, adding that "she looked amazing," stating the obvious about the gorgeous superstar.
The two-time Super Bowl champ said that the day "went perfect", all but going as far to say "today was a fairytale." Travis noted how nice it was to see Taylor in the suite reacting so enthusiastically, celebrating with his mom. He even took a page out of my playbook by dropping a lyric reference, remarking that the pair escaped in his "getaway car," a convertible Chevrolet Chevelle.
As most football players would, Travis said that he appreciated the shoutout from legendary Patriots coach and GM Bill Belichick, who commented that Taylor is "the biggest catch of his life." After taking Belichick's words to heart, Travis definitely considers himself the lucky one, so if anyone out there is wondering if he appreciates what a great opportunity this is for him, I think he knows. Travis's own coach, Andy Reid got a shoutout, as he claims to have been the mastermind behind this budding connection all along.
While it's been quite an adjustment period for the brothers, especially Travis of course, Jason remarked that has "enjoyed every second" of the whole whirlwind that has surrounded his brother.

Since the music legend was spotted at Arrowhead, Travis's jersey sales are up 400%, New Heights went up to the #1 spot on the Apple podcast charts, Travis has picked up 383k new instagram followers and counting, the Chiefs' blowout of the bears was the most-viewed game of the week, with a 63% viewership jump in the female ages 18-49 demographic, and Chiefs ticket sales have spiked as well.
Considering how quickly this has become public, it seems that if you doubted Taylor and Travis as a pairing, you were the foolish one all along, as this could be a truly timeless romance. The camera hit Taylor no less than fifteen times during the ballgame, and Sunday was the very first night the pair has been seen out together as Travis rented out a restaurant to celebrate with Taylor and the team.
For everyone who's been waiting for either Taylor or Travis to say something about the rumors, and has been told by everyone around you that you need to calm down, you can finally breathe- it's been addressed on what is suddenly one of the most popular podcasts out there. Taylor hasn't said anything yet of course, and these new romantics have not defined the relationship yet, so call it what you want but right now, it looks like they're truly having a great time getting to know each other.
