Travis Kelce’s Watch Found In Rhode Island After Home Burglary

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had his Kansas mansion broken into on October 7, while he was actually playing a game vs. the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. Now, over a month later authorities have located the NFL star's watch 1,400 miles away in Providence, Rhode Island (per ABC news).

At the time of the robbery, police only disclosed that $20,000 in cash was taken. However, now it appears the watch was one piece of jewelry that had been snatched in a targeted home invasion.

As of now there is an on-going investigation revolving around NFL players being the targets of home burglaries. So far, Kelce's teammate Patrick Mahomes and former Minnesota Vikings player Linval Joseph have been two of the other known victims. That is, it is to be believed that this is a result of a South American crime ring.

The NFL released a memo to all 32 teams this week, warning the players that the crimes that took place at the homes of Kelce and Mahomes are a part of a larger scheme which involves highly-skilled criminals.

Kelce has not commented on the situation, while Chiefs quarterback Mahomes has told the media that the whole thing is frustrating and disappointing.

The Chiefs will take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 24 (1:00 pm ET), and if Kelce catches a touchdown he will pass Tony Gonzalez to become the new all-time receiving TD's leader in franchise history.
