Hill made headlines last month when, following Miami's failure to make the playoffs, he hinted at the possibility of leaving the Dolphins. His comments came after a frustrating season in which Hill dealt with a wrist injury and posted his lowest number of receptions and receiving yards since 2019, when he missed four games. At the time, Hill's remarks were seen as a product of frustration, and he acknowledged that he did not fully clarify his intentions.
In a Friday appearance on PFT Live, Hill cleared up the confusion, saying, "I want to stay with the Dolphins," and added he would "bust my tail" to ensure next season is better for both him and the team.
"I'm taking full accountability of what I said," he said. "I don't deserve to say anything like that. They've been very good to me, so why am I going to go out and say some of the things that I said? I fully take it back."
Hill's commitment to Miami comes with the recognition that he is under contract for two more seasons. However, the Dolphins have the option to part ways with Hill before the 2026 season, potentially freeing up significant cap space. The 2025 season will be critical in determining the long-term future of Hill's tenure in Miami.
Hill's apology and reaffirmation of his loyalty come as a relief to Dolphins fans, who had been concerned by his previous comments regarding his future with the team.
