Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson has completed more than 30 hours of court-ordered community service in his 2025 Minnesota drunken-driving case, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Peterson, 40, was ordered to serve 32 hours as part of a plea agreement reached in March 2026 in Hennepin County District Court. Records show he completed the work in four-hour shifts between July 13 and July 30 at Meals on Wheels, a local food drive, a youth packing event for the homeless, a July 4 event for senior citizens, and a YMCA program.
Peterson pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor fourth-degree driving while intoxicated charge. A judge imposed a 90-day jail sentence but stayed 85 days for one year and placed him on probation. He received credit for one day already served. He was also required to attend a victim-impact panel and complete an alcohol screening.
The case stemmed from an April 25, 2025, traffic stop in Richfield. A Minnesota State Trooper clocked Peterson driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 77 around 3:20 a.m., shortly after he attended a Vikings draft party. A breath test registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit.
Peterson remains on probation through the stay period. Additional terms require that he avoid further alcohol-related or reckless-driving offenses.
