Former NFL star Antonio Brown is expected to avoid prison after reaching a plea agreement in his attempted murder case, according to his attorney.

Attorney Mark Eiglarsh told TMZ Sports that Brown will accept a deal reducing the second-degree attempted murder charge against him. The agreement reportedly calls for probation instead of incarceration.
Brown is scheduled to appear in a Miami-Dade County courtroom on Sept. 30, when the agreement is expected to become official.
The case stems from a May 2025 altercation outside a boxing event hosted by streamer Adin Ross in Miami. Prosecutors alleged that Brown fought with Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, took a firearm from a security guard and chased Nantambu while shots were fired.
An arrest warrant was issued in June 2025. Brown was later extradited from Dubai and returned to Florida in November.
Brown pleaded not guilty and has maintained that he acted in self-defense. Eiglarsh stressed that accepting the offer does not mean his client is admitting guilt.
"Antonio believes in his innocence," Eiglarsh said. "He believes strongly in his Stand Your Ground defense, and he believes he would ultimately prevail at trial."
The attorney said Brown nevertheless could not reasonably reject an agreement that would replace a possible decades-long prison sentence with a reduced charge and probation. TMZ reported that Brown had faced up to 30 years in prison, including a potential 20-year mandatory minimum.
Brown, 38, played 12 NFL seasons and earned seven Pro Bowl selections. His career included stops with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
