Details on why the case was dropped have not been made public. Still, Davis wasted no time addressing it.
He released a statement saying he's "grateful" to move forward, calling the ordeal a challenging and deeply personal stretch. He also thanked those who stuck by him, saying their support meant more than he could put into words.
That's the public side.
The case itself stemmed from allegations tied to a June 2025 incident. A woman claimed Davis slapped her during an argument and told her not to question him. She also said she recorded a conversation later that night in which Davis pushed back on the accusation.
There were additional claims as well, including an alleged separate dispute involving thrown objects and a conversation about a pregnancy.
Davis denied the allegations at the time and said he looked forward to clearing his name.
Now the case is dismissed, and that chapter appears closed.
No ruling. No trial. Just done.
For Davis, it's a chance to move on. For everyone else, it leaves plenty of questions about what really happened behind the scenes.
