Ezekiel Elliott has plenty of hype surrounding his skill set heading into his first season as a pro.
Taken as the No. 4 overall selection, Elliott will be leaned on to help carry the Dallas Cowboys offense, and veteran Houston Texans writer John McClain has his own set of predictions for the electric running back.
Despite playing in 13 games, and rushing for just nine yards in his first contest, Todd Gurley rushed for 1,106 yards as a rookie. Adrian Peterson rushed for 1,485 yards in his return to the league.
Elliott rushed for over 1,800 yards in back-to-back seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes on 273 and 289 carries, respectively.
Elliott and the Cowboys open the season against the New York Giants on September 11.
