Vikings DE guarantees win over division-rival Lions

After an embarrassing loss, the Vikings need to get back on track.

After getting stomped by the San Francisco 49ers on national television, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen is not happy and he's guaranteeing a victory against the Detroit Lions this weekend.

"We're going to beat Detroit," he said, via ESPN. "I'm very angry right now, as you can see, because we prepared way too hard (to lose on Monday). But we're going to go out there and get 'em."

After falling, 20-3, to San Francisco 49ers Carlos Hyde's vicious running attack, the Vikings will be challenged with stopping rookie phenom running back Ameer Abdullah, quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
