Colin Kaepernick still isn't on an NFL roster, and one Hall of Famer, Warren Moon, believes it's because he went after the league with his collusion lawsuit.

Speaking with TMZ, Moon — who played 17 seasons in the NFL, making his name with the Houston Oilers — suggested that if Kaepernick really wanted to play but he also wanted to file a lawsuit against the NFL, he should have waited until after the season.
"If he was gonna file a lawsuit, he maybe should've waited 'til this season was over if he did want to play this year," Moon says, "because it was almost like, does he really wanna play if he's gonna go and sue the league and then also try to get signed by a football team ... the 2 just don't seem to mix."
Moon's point does make a bit of sense. After all, why would the NFL sign a player who was actively suing it in a court of law. It's almost a conflict of interest, though it's worth noting that had an NFL team signed Kaepernick — he wouldn't need to sue in the first place.
Kaepernick's whole argument is that he's not in the league right now because of the fact that he took a knee during the national anthem, and that his free agency has nothing to do with his actual talent. When looking at some of the starting quarterbacks and certainly many of the backup quarterbacks across the league, his point does make sense.
Still, suing the league sure isn't going to help mend any hard feelings, and perhaps that's Moon's ultimate point with his take on the matter.
