After months of speculation surrounding Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III's fate with the organization, Redskins president Robert Allen finally publicly set the record straight with RGIII's future. Spoiler alert: it will not include the Washington Redskins. Allen told ESPN's John Keim on Tuesday that the organization has decided to move on from the quarterback, whom they drafted in the first round with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.
"I see Robert getting an opportunity with another team," Allen said via ESPN. "We've heard from some teams that are interested. I think he's going to have a choice of a couple teams that will let him excel in the future."
The question now is essentially where will Griffin land? The one team that appeared to be the most likely to pick him up, the Dallas Cowboys, now have apparently cooled off on the idea. The next option could potentially be the Denver Broncos, as Peyton Manning's retirement — if that does happen — would lead Brock Osweiler at the helm, making Griffin a pretty viable option.
