Winter weather descended upon Orchard Park, New York, this weekend as the Buffalo Bills prepared to host the San Francisco 49ers. However, the snow, ice, and cold temperatures did not keep Mack Hollins from sticking with his routine.

The wide receiver showed up to Sunday's game dressed as a mad scientist. He had on white pants, a lab coat, a white wig, goggles, and gloves. What he didn't have on was a pair of shoes. He remained barefoot as he walked into the stadium.

This is nothing new for Hollins, a player who has been dubbed "one of the most interesting in the NFL." He regularly spends his time barefoot, only putting them on for NFL games. This is something he began doing after tearing his groin in 2018.
"Strengthen the foot, strengthen the ankle, strengthen the knee," Hollins said in July, per Alex Brasky of the Bills Digest. "Free the negative electrons from the body — it's where grounding comes from. So you feel more grounded.
"You're cleaner. You move faster. You strengthen the whole body so your knee doesn't have to take so much pressure because your ankles are not developed. Shoes are a tool. You don't walk around with a hammer just because you have to nail something every once in a while."

The lack of shoes is not the only thing that makes Hollins unique. He also does not use utensils while eating. This eliminates soup from his diet, but that is not a problem. According to Sports Illustrated, Hollins once said that Lions and Gorillas don't eat soup, nor does "anything savage."
The uniqueness has created headlines, but Hollins has backed it up on the field. He has played for six NFL teams since 2017 and has served as a key contributor. He has scored 13 touchdowns as a receiver while often working as a third or fourth option on the field. He also won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles.
This season, Hollins has 18 catches for 224 yards. He has scored three touchdowns as the Bills have gone 9-2. He has an opportunity to continue this productivity on Sunday night against the 49ers.
He will just have to wear shoes while doing so.
