Yet another NFL team is making drastic changes to its front office only a week after the NFL Draft

Following in the footsteps of the Colts and Bills.

The Detroit Lions are following in the footsteps of the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts by making personnel changes after the NFL Draft.

The Lions have let go senior personnel executive Brian Xanders, who joined the franchise in 2013. Xanders was brought in by former Lions GM Martin Mayhew, and current GM Bob Quinn opted to let him go following the draft.

Xanders was previously the general manager for the Denver Broncos from 2009-2012. He has been mentioned as a candidate for the vacant GM position with the Washington Redskins, and he also interviewed for the GM position with the Miami Dolphins.

The Lions didn't make as many changes as the Bills and Colts, but it's still a noteworthy move less than a week after the draft.
